THE RESULTS from the Kimberley Golf Club for the week of June 20-27 are:

THE SATURDAY Club IPS competition was won by M Allie on 39 pts with Andries Kori second on a count-out on 34 pts over H vd Ross. The Thursday KWV Niner was won by Z Sulliman on 24 from M Allie on 21 and Shane Arthur on 19pts.

The Friday Flamingo Niner was won by D Thomas on 21 from Z Sulliman on 18pts on a count-out Neville Parker with Donald Witbooi fourth. Sullie and Doc Allie are clearly playing very well.

The Saturday Charlies challenge with Magersfontein

Golf Club was postponed because everyone wanted to watch the rugby. This game will be rescheduled.

Friday, July 1:

Social golf and the Flamingo Niner s with special rates for members and non-members that includes a golf cart. Please note this only applies for those teeing off before 11am. Nine holes plus a golf cart will cost R200 and R300 for 18 holes plus a golf cart. There is also a Pub Lunch special of R100 for a 300g T-bone steak with eggs and chips as well as more to offer.

Saturday, July 2 is the Seniors Presidents Day that will be followed by the prize giving and a formal attire diner at the Kimberley Club at 7pm. This will be Mike Vigne’s and Ian Kidson’s swansongs as Seniors President and Captain respectively. We all thank Mike and Ian for their contributions to golf at the KGC. Sunday, July 3: Social golf with special rates for members (R150 for 18 holes) and R250 for nonmembers.

Monday, July 4: Course closed as usual but remember the office is open for business.

Tuesday, July 5: Social golf with special rates as above. Wednesday, July 6: Darsha Sponsored IPS

Thursday, July 7: KWV Sponsored Niner with a special rate for a golf cart of R150.

Saturday, July 9: The 75 on Milner Sponsored BBS competition with meat hampers for 1st and 2nd prizes as well as two lucky draw meat hamper prizes. Members must be present at prize giving to receive these prizes.

Sunday, July 10: Social golf with special rates applying.

Something to look forward to is the KGC 2022 Masters medal competition to be played over 27 holes on Saturday, July 16. Bookings for the annual Barney Barnato tournament are also open with the entry form published on the KGC website. Once booked and paid please send the club proof of payment so that the booking can be reserved.
