Man arrested for firearms

A MAN was arrested after the Postmasburg police found suspected illegal firearms in his possession.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Nomvuyo Makoloi said two handguns were found in the suspect’s possession. “On November 29, 2021 the Postmasburg Crime Prevention team followed up on information regarding a male person who was allegedly in possession of illegal firearms. The team attended to the information with a search warrant and found a male person at Marantheng in Postmasburg. Two handguns were found hidden inside a laundry bucket,” said Makoloi.
